By Mashable Italia

Netflix's surprise announcement: the first 3 seasons of Boris online from May 1st

By Mashable Italia

There are many news available on Netflix in the month of May just begun: one however is really a surprise. The platform has announced that are already online the first three seasons of Boris, the Italian TV series par excellence. Do you remember it?

It tells the story of a crew that is shooting a (rather poor) television series “Gli occhi del cuore 2” (The eyes of the heart 2), directed by the famous René Ferretti interpreted by Francesco Pannofino. Lots of idioms used in the series have entered common language: from "Action!", to "Come on, come on, come on", and still "Genius!", screamed out loud by René, up to the famous "Open all the light", word continuously repeated by the director of photography Duccio (Ninni Bruschetta): it means arranging the shootings' lights very roughly, and it has become a synonym of 'sloppy', 'not well-finished'.

The series had already been published on Netflix but it had not been available for some time.

On Twitter there has been a standing ovation from fans.
